When I shot Sean and Aiko’s engagement photos a couple of weeks ago we had originally intended on doing a series of them decorating a cake together. Unfortunately we ran out of time and I promised them we would make up the cake shoot whenever our schedules allowed. The idea for the cake shoot came up while we were discussing the locations for their session. Over the past several months Aiko has been posting photos of the unique cake designs she and Sean have created together to her Facebook page. I thought it would make for a neat custom session to get them decorating a cake together. They both agreed it was a great idea, and after having done the session, I think it was a great idea too.

Note: The cats in the window in the photo above was a complete serendipitous moment. We were able to coax them into staying in position for more photos, but this frame was the first and best of the bunch. Sean and Aiko love their cats dearly and it was really cool to be able to work them into their e-session.
