Michelle & Tim: Engagement 2

I hooked up with Michelle and Tim again last week for a second engagement shoot in NWA. When we met for their first session a month ago the goal of the shoot was to incorporate their love story into photos. One of the important moments of their relationship they wanted to touch on was their first date at a corn maze in South Carolina. It was a bit early for corn mazes in early September in NWA, so we put this shoot on hold until the time was right. Another point of their relationship was the time they both spent traveling through airports, specifically Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, during their six month courtship. The two shoots ran together perfectly. We hit the corn maze in the late afternoon. The light was perfect for a bit, but it clouded over and turned gray on us. Great conditions for shooting many things, but not ideal for romantic photos when you want directional, dramatic light. We stuck it out and still walked away with some really nice stuff. Knowing the sun would drop below the clouds at sunset, we made a quick dash out to XNA just in time for the magic light. There was only time to get a couple of shots off and, as luck would have it, there were a few departing flights happening when we arrived. We quickly set things up and the planes were perfect in the frames. Loved it!

I had a great time again this time around with Michelle and Tim. They’re a very easy going couple and fun to work with. I can’t wait until their wedding in April.
